The coffee is excellent, the conversation is lively, and Jinglebell—their sweet shop dog—might just be the highlight of your day. In a city increasingly overrun with sterile, soulless cafes, Oblique is a welcome antidote: warm, weird, and full of character. Highly recommend if you miss the Old Portland that had stories to tell and places like this to tell them in.

Stumbled upon this gem while visiting Portland in 2023 and have looked forward to coming back since. Went today, and I can confidently say I love love love this coffee shop! Environment is peaceful and cozy, owner is cool as hell, and the coffee is consistently perfect (Pretty sure the owner does roasting in-house) Super authentic and unpretentious spot

OCR is peak PDX at its best. Jack is a wonderful barista with a quaint, comfortable coffee shop and a fantastic backstory / bike-story. The coffee is delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful -- especially outside on a sunny day. We're lucky to have a coffee shop with so much personality in Portland!

The dirty chai here is FANTASTIC. Tasty cherry lime bread too. Cute little cozy spot, clean, sweet baristas. There is a lovely outdoor patio area but we opted to go to the park with our pets. It's very close to Laurelhurst park so it's easy to come here then take your treats to the park.

What a unique find! I loved this little coffeehouse tucked away in a classic house on Stark Street near Laurelhurst Park. The cappuccinos are made the way they are meant to be, I didn't have to ask for a traditional one and the owner was quite nice! We loved the old bikes hanging around and the piano was a lovely addition.
